From 1996-2012, Coach Skogen had the unique opportunity to have been involved with coaching baseball at every level of play from T-Ball though NCAA Division I, Division II each year, as well as professional. In 2007 alone, Coach Skogen was involved with coaching five of the six considered levels of baseball (T-Ball, Cal Ripken, Babe Ruth, College, and Professional). Coach Skogen has had success coaching at every level of the game from State Championships at the youth level including a 36 game winning streak over two seasons to a North Central Conference Championship at the college level. A native of Johnstown, ND and graduate of Midway HS (Inkster, ND), Coach Skogen completed his degree at North Dakota State University with a Major in Physical Education, a Minor in Coaching, and a Masters in Athletic Administration.

• Signed to play at the University of Nebraska after Junior College
• Drafted in the 21st Round of the 2012 MLB draft by the Kansas City Royals
• Signed with the Royals and played in Idaho Falls in 2012.

• Drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 4th round out of HS.
• Has played 11 seasons of Minor League baseball.
• Played 3 seasons with the FM RedHawks including the 2009 & 2010 Northern League Championship teams
• Northern League All-Star in 2008 & 2009

• Hometown- Circle Pines, MN
• 4 year starting SS at NDSU
• Finished his NDSU career as the all time leader in games played, defensive assists, sac flies, and sac bunts. He is second in defensive chances, and at bats and third in total hits.
• Signed with Sioux Falls and finished the season with the FM RedHawks in the American Association.

• Played for Mayville State from 1988-1990
• In 1989 was named a Converse All American and received district and regional player of the year honors.
• Finished as the career leader in stolen bases (124) and single year stolen bases (60).
• He participated as a member of the Canadian National Team in 1990-1991.
• Played profesionally in Australia
• Played football for the Comets earning all-conference wide receiver and return specialist honors.
• In 1992 he was a seventh round pick of the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League
• Helped develop three Division 1 baseball players while coaching in Munich, ND and Langdon, ND as well as long time FM RedHawks starting pitcher Justin Fletschock.
• Served as a scout for the Major League Scouting Combine covering Manitoba.
• Currently is Principal and Legion Baseball coach in Thompson, ND.

• Finished his career 6th in All Time Wins and 5th in Strikeouts/9 Innings at NDSU
• Pitched professionally with Evansville of the Frontier League where he made 17 starts.

• Steve Montgomery- (Beginning in March) Current FM RedHawks Pitching Coach. Played in the Baltimore Orioles, LA Dodgers, KC Royals, and Boston Red Sox organizations.
• Luke Rustad- Former Fargo Bombers Head Coach. Current Head Coach Fargo Post 2.
• Jason Schwabe- Former Mayville State All-American Infielder. Canadian Olympic Team 1989-91. Spent 3 years as a scout for the MLB Scouting Bureau for Manitoba. Current Principal and Legion Coach in Thompson, ND.
• Greg Smith- Former Pitcher at Upper Iowa University. Pitched Professionally in the Frontier League for Chillicothe, OH and Johnstown, PA.
• Dean Wixo- Former minor league SS in the San Francisco Giants organization. Current travel Coach with Moorhead Babe Ruth.
